Our trip leader has led travel experiences throughout the world for years, sharing their passion for the transformational power of travel and the art of a well-designed good time. They are your Modern Adventure host, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable trip for everyone. They will be your go-to for any and all questions around our daily flow, meeting points, times, what to expect and any questions or concerns that may arise. 

Our local guides are experts in all things related to our destinations. They are deeply knowledgeable with respect to Japan and local history, culture and customs, and are passionate about sharing that with all of us. They are our interpreter, local host and will introduce us to the local way of life.

Think of Los Angeles seafood and one name comes to mind: chef Michael Cimarusti. He's credited with taking the Los Angeles fine-dining scene to another level when he opened his modern American seafood restaurant, Providence, in 2005. His creativity and dedication to craft have earned him a James Beard award in 2019, two highly coveted Michelin stars, the #1 spot on Jonathan Gold’s “101 Best Restaurants” list and a Gourmet magazine Top 50 Restaurants in the US nod. Best of all he's personable, passionate and he loves Japan.

We will meet and spend time with local community members, chefs, artisans, vintners, producers and many more. All of our local experts are excited to help us learn more, experience more, and have the best possible experience together.
